How Apple Calendar sync works
Apple Calendar uses ICS subscription, which polls for updates roughly every hour. Events are not instant — this is an Apple limitation, not a Sync2Cal bug.
Sync2Cal provides Apple Calendar support via ICS subscription links.
Unlike Google Calendar and Outlook (which use OAuth push sync), Apple Calendar downloads a calendar file (ICS) on a schedule. Apple controls how often it checks for updates — typically every 1 hour on iPhone and Mac.
This means new events from Sync2Cal can take up to 1 hour to appear in Apple Calendar after they are added. This delay is an Apple Calendar limitation and cannot be shortened by Sync2Cal.
Once subscribed, the calendar updates automatically in the background. You do not need to do anything to keep it current.
