How to add a Sync2Cal calendar to Samsung Calendar

Check the Google account used by Samsung Calendar, add the subscription on Google Calendar on a computer, and verify calendar visibility before adding another copy.

Samsung Calendar is an app; your Google account is one place it can get calendars from. This guide uses that account route. Do not look for a guessed Add by URL or Subscribe menu inside Samsung Calendar. A Samsung phone can also run Google Calendar or Outlook, so first check the name of the app you actually use.

1. Check your account before adding anything

On your Samsung phone, open Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts. Check whether the Google account you want to use is listed. In that account, open Sync account and check that Calendar sync is enabled. Menu names can vary by phone and Android version.

If the account is absent, decide which calendar account you want to use before continuing. Do not assume signing in to Sync2Cal has connected that account to Samsung Calendar. Samsung documents the Google account sync settings.

2. Check whether the calendar is already in Google

On a computer, open Google Calendar with that same Google account. Look for the Sync2Cal calendar in the calendar list. If it is already there, select it and look for a known event date. Skip adding another subscription and continue with the phone visibility checks below.

3. Add the subscription only if it is missing

In the Sync2Cal setup flow, copy your calendar subscription link. Keep it private. On Google Calendar on the computer, next to Other calendars select + > From URL, paste the link, and choose Add calendar. If your link starts with webcal://, use https:// for Google Calendar.

Google requires a computer web browser for a new URL subscription; the Google Calendar phone app cannot add it. Google explains adding a calendar by URL. If you only have a phone, do not search for a From URL menu in either phone app. Return to Sync2Cal and choose Change calendar app if you want to use a supported connection flow instead, or contact support with your app name and device. Switching apps is a separate choice.

4. Check Samsung Calendar visibility

Once the calendar and a known event are visible in Google Calendar on the web, return to Samsung Calendar. Open its calendar list and check the same Google account and the subscribed calendar are listed and selected. In the phone Google account sync settings, request Sync now if needed. Account sync alone does not prove this particular subscription is visible.

If the subscription is still absent from Samsung Calendar, do not add it repeatedly or assume it will appear after a fixed wait. Check whether it is visible in the Google Calendar app with the same account. If Google shows it and Samsung does not, contact support with the app version, device and calendar page. You can choose to use Google Calendar instead, but we cannot promise that every Samsung Calendar version displays every subscribed Google calendar.

Already added, but no events?

First check whether the calendar itself is listed and selected. If it is listed, compare a specific event date with the Sync2Cal calendar page. A feed refresh can take time, but an event missing from Sync2Cal cannot appear through that feed. Use the multiple-device checklist before re-adding anything. Do not send your private subscription URL to support.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I paste the link in Samsung Calendar?⌄

This guide does not rely on a direct URL-subscription menu in Samsung Calendar. Use Google Calendar on a computer to add the link, then check whether Samsung Calendar lists that calendar under the same Google account.

Will adding it to Google automatically make it appear in Samsung Calendar?⌄

Not necessarily. The same account must be configured with Calendar sync enabled, and the particular calendar must be listed and selected in Samsung Calendar. If it is absent, check Google Calendar directly or contact support rather than assuming delivery.

Can I do the URL subscription only from my phone?⌄

Google documents computer-web setup for a new URL subscription. If you only have a phone, choose Change calendar app in Sync2Cal if you want a different supported connection flow, or contact support. Do not look for a From URL option in the Google Calendar mobile app.
