Getting Started

How to add a Sync2Cal calendar to Skylight

Subscribe to a Sync2Cal calendar through the Skylight app, then check the calendar and an event on your Skylight Calendar.

Before you start

These steps are for Skylight Calendar and its companion app. Confirm the app name instead of choosing instructions from your phone brand. If you already added the same Sync2Cal calendar, check Skylight’s synced calendars before adding another copy.

1. Copy your subscription link

In Sync2Cal, open the calendar’s setup flow, choose Other calendar apps, and copy the calendar link. This is a subscription link for updates, rather than a one-time event import. Keep the link private; anyone with it can read that calendar.

2. Add the link in the Skylight app

Open the Skylight app and choose the Skylight calendar you want to use. In the My Skylight menu, open Synced Calendars, then Sync new calendar, then Calendar URL. Paste your Sync2Cal link in the URL field and select Done. Return to Sync2Cal if you need help. These are Skylight’s documented phone setup steps, not a guessed Google or Samsung menu.

3. Check the calendar and one event

Check that the new calendar appears in Skylight’s synced calendar list. Compare a specific event date on Sync2Cal with that date on your Skylight Calendar. Saving the link is not proof that events are visible.

If the calendar is not listed

Check whether Skylight showed an error while saving the URL or whether you left before selecting Done. If the menu or error differs, use I need help in Sync2Cal and share the app name and exact error wording. Do not share your private calendar link or repeatedly add the same subscription.

If the calendar is listed but events are missing

Check a specific event date against the Sync2Cal calendar page. Tell the setup assistant that the calendar is listed in Skylight but its events are missing, and name the date you checked. Do not restart the subscription steps or assume an exact refresh delay. Contact support lets you review your message before sending.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to add the link through Google Calendar first?⌄

Not for Skylight’s documented calendar-URL route. Add the Sync2Cal link directly in the Skylight companion app. A calendar appearing in Google or Apple does not by itself prove that it appears in Skylight.

Can I do this from my phone?⌄

Yes. Skylight documents URL subscription through its companion app. The computer requirement for adding a URL in Google Calendar does not apply to this direct Skylight route.

Does selecting Done mean my events have synced?⌄

It means you finished the save step in Skylight. Check that the calendar is listed and that a known event is visible. A confirmation in Sync2Cal is your report, not independent verification that the event appeared on the display.
