Managing Syncs

Why is a game showing as all-day or without a confirmed time?

Leagues often announce dates before start times. How Sync2Cal shows games without a confirmed time, why several games can share a placeholder time, and when they update.

Leagues often publish the dates of a season before every start time is confirmed. Sync2Cal shows what the schedule currently lists and updates the event when the time is confirmed.

Games with no time yet show as all-day

When a game has a date but no start time, it appears as an all-day event on that date. It is a placeholder for the day, not a game that lasts all day. Once a start time is published, it changes to a timed event on its own.

Some listed times are placeholders

Some leagues list most of the season at a standard start time and confirm the real time later. Until then, many games can show the same time. For example, many Premier League matches are listed at 3:00 PM UK time on Saturdays, which is 10:00 AM US Eastern, until their final kick-off times are set.

When does the time update?

A synced calendar picks up the confirmed time on its next refresh. See how often events update. A calendar file you imported once does not change. See importing versus subscribing to switch to a calendar that keeps itself up to date.

If a confirmed time looks wrong

Compare the event with the league's official schedule. If every event is shifted by the same number of hours, it is a time zone setting: see wrong event times or timezone issues. If only one game differs, report the incorrect event.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my game say all-day?⌄

The date has been announced but the start time has not. The event switches to a timed event once the time is published.

Why do so many games show the same start time?⌄

Many are standard placeholder times the league has not confirmed yet. Each one updates when its final time is set.

Do I need to re-add the calendar when times are confirmed?⌄

No. A synced calendar updates on its own. Only a calendar file you imported once needs to be downloaded again.
