How to remove a calendar and its events

To stop a Sync2Cal calendar, open My Calendars, find it on the Synced tab, and choose Remove from its menu. What happens to events in your calendar app depends on whether you connected your account, subscribed by link, or imported a file.

If you only want to hide events temporarily, turn off that calendar's visibility in your app instead. If you are keeping the subscription and removing only a duplicate, start with duplicate events.

Remove a subscription from Sync2Cal

Open My Calendars from your profile menu, select the Synced tab, open the menu beside the calendar, and choose Remove. Read and confirm the removal prompt.

For a Google or Outlook account connection, Sync2Cal also requests deletion of the dedicated calendar it created for that subscription. This happens in the background and can fail if access has expired or the provider returns an error. Allow time for the app to update, then check its calendar list.

Removing a subscription connected to both Google and Outlook can remove its dedicated calendars in both destinations. Check that this is what you want before confirming.

If you added personal events to a calendar created by Sync2Cal, move or back them up before removing that calendar: deleting an entire calendar also deletes events inside it.

Remove an ICS subscription from your calendar app

Removing a calendar in Sync2Cal does not necessarily remove the subscribed calendar entry from your app. To clear an unwanted link-based calendar, unsubscribe from that specific calendar in the app too.

Google Calendar on a computer

Open Settings, select the unwanted calendar in the left column, and choose Remove calendar > Unsubscribe. If you own a leftover secondary calendar rather than a subscription, Google may show Delete instead. Confirm the calendar's identity before using it. Do not delete your primary calendar's events. Apple Calendar on iPhone or iPad

Open Calendar > Calendars, tap the information button beside the unwanted calendar, and choose Unsubscribe or Delete Calendar as shown. Confirm the choice. For an iCloud calendar, removal can affect other devices using the same account. Apple's removal instructions.

Outlook on the web

Find the unwanted calendar in the sidebar, open its menu, and choose the removal option. The wording differs for calendars you own and calendars you subscribe to. Clearing its checkbox only hides it. Microsoft's calendar-management instructions.

If you imported a file

Imported events are independent copies. Removing a Sync2Cal subscription does not delete copies imported into another calendar.

If you imported into a separate calendar containing only those unwanted events, remove that calendar after checking its contents. If you imported into a personal or shared calendar, delete only the imported events you can identify. Back up important events before bulk changes.

Removing one calendar is not disconnecting your account

Disconnecting Google or Outlook in your Sync2Cal account settings affects the Sync2Cal calendars using that integration and requests cleanup of its managed calendars. Use it when you intend to disconnect that provider, not as routine cleanup for one duplicate event.

Revoking access directly at Google or Microsoft stops authorized access, but does not itself guarantee that previously created calendars are deleted.

Does this cancel my paid plan?
