How to add sports schedules to Google Calendar

Choose a team or league on Sync2Cal, connect Google Calendar, and check the schedule on your computer and phone. Learn how to avoid static imports and duplicates.

To add a sports schedule through Sync2Cal, choose the team or competition, select Sync to Calendar, and connect the Google account where you want the events. Then check a known upcoming game in Google Calendar.

Choose the schedule you actually want

Start with sports calendars. Choose one team's calendar for that team's listed fixtures, or an all-games calendar for a broader competition schedule. Read the event list before adding it: a team name alone does not guarantee coverage of every competition.

Adding both a team's schedule and a league-wide schedule can show the same game twice. Choose the coverage you need, or keep one overlapping calendar hidden.

Connect Google Calendar

  • Open the chosen calendar's Sync2Cal page and select Sync to Calendar.
  • Sign in to Sync2Cal if prompted, then choose Google Calendar.
  • Use the account-connection option and complete Google's authorization prompts for the intended account.
  • Finish the setup flow, open Google Calendar, and make sure the new calendar is selected in the sidebar.
  • Find one upcoming event from the Sync2Cal page and compare its date and time.

The connection delivers the schedule to your Google account. It does not copy all your personal appointments into Sync2Cal or merge your private calendars. See how Google sync works and permissions.

If you prefer a calendar link

On Google Calendar in a computer browser, choose Other calendars > Add other calendars > From URL and paste the subscription link supplied by Sync2Cal. Google checks that feed for updates on its own schedule.

Uploading a downloaded ICS file through Import & export creates a one-time copy. Use a subscription if you want new games and changed times to arrive automatically. See importing versus subscribing.

Show the schedule on your phone

Open the Google Calendar app with the same Google account. Check its calendar list and select the added schedule. If you connected it on a computer, you do not normally need to add a second copy just to see it on the phone.

Use the multiple-device checklist if it only appears on one device. If it appears nowhere, use Google missing-event troubleshooting.

Check changes, reminders, and access

Use reminder settings for alerts on connected calendars. When a game moves, updates depend on the source and delivery method; see rescheduled events.

Sync2Cal's trial and subscription terms apply to ongoing sync. To stop following a schedule, use calendar removal.

Frequently asked questions

Will the sports schedule appear in the Google Calendar phone app?

It can appear when the app uses the same Google account and the added calendar is selected. Check account and calendar visibility before adding another copy.

Should I import the schedule again when a game changes?

For ongoing updates, use a subscription or account connection. Importing another file can leave duplicate or outdated events.
