How to add Formula 1 races to Google Calendar
Add the Formula 1 calendar through Sync2Cal, check which sessions it includes, and verify local race times and schedule updates in Google Calendar.
Open the Formula 1 calendar on Sync2Cal, check the listed sessions, and choose Sync to Calendar to connect it to Google Calendar. Use a live connection or subscription so later schedule changes can reach your calendar.
Check races and session coverage
Open the Formula 1 calendar and review the upcoming event list. The current listing includes practice, qualifying, and race sessions. Check the particular weekend for the sessions you want, especially if you want sprint sessions.
Do not assume every race weekend has the same session format or that a calendar includes every session simply because it has Formula 1 in its name. If an officially published session is missing from the calendar's intended coverage, report the event.
Connect Google Calendar
- On the Formula 1 page, choose Sync to Calendar.
- Sign in to Sync2Cal if prompted and select Google Calendar.
- Connect the Google account where you want the schedule and finish authorization.
- Open Google Calendar and select the added calendar.
- Compare an upcoming session's name, date, and start time with the Sync2Cal listing.
If you prefer a subscription URL, use Google's From URL flow on a computer. See the Google sports setup guide for that method. Uploading an ICS file is a one-time import.
Check the timezone before race day
Race weekends take place in different timezones. Your calendar normally displays timed events using its own timezone settings, so your displayed race time can differ from the local time at the circuit.
Check the exact session and date: practice, qualifying, and the race are different events. If several entries appear shifted by the same amount, use timezone troubleshooting before manually editing them.
See it on your phone and add reminders
Use the same Google account in the Google Calendar app and make sure the Formula 1 calendar is selected. If it appears only on your computer, use the multiple-device guide.
For an existing Google account-connected calendar, open My Calendars > the calendar's menu > Customize events to set reminders. Your device must allow the calendar app to notify you.
What if the schedule changes?
Keep the subscription active and check rescheduled-event guidance. A change must reach Sync2Cal and then your calendar; adding a second copy will not speed that up.
See trial and subscription access for ongoing syncing, or removal instructions when you no longer want the calendar.
